City mouse or country mouse, take your pick. This inaugural group show at Space 101 features 28 artists working in photography, video, sculpture, and painting. A colorful faux brick and flower partition by Mick O'Shea provides clear demarcation as well as a symbolic bridge between the two worlds. Pastorally inspired works range from Slater Bradley's romantic photos to Dan Kopp's futuristic day-glo landscape and Hans op de Beeck's lyrical charcoal animation. Contrasting the bucolic are urban works such as Adam Stennett's swimming rat, Changha Hwang's disciplined grid painting, and Ben Beaudoin's mutant indoor climbing wall. No matter which camp you favor, this powerful and often playful exhibit succeeds in showing how both kinds of mice are necessary in this world. (SC)

Note: While in the area, check out galleries Schroeder Romero, Roebling Hall, and Bellwether. The Williamsburg Gallery Association offers a printable map online.
